The reflector surfaces, MIRO® and MIRO-SILVER® produced by ALANOD®, have a total reflectivity of 95% and >98%. ALANOD utilises a unique proprietary process to apply reflectivity enhancing coatings to pretreated aluminium coil. These highly reflective surfaces now allow the luminaire manufacturer to achieve a 10 – 30 % increase in illumination efficiency. The product is widely used in light pipes and light directing building panels. It delivers high efficiency with little transmission loss, directing light to where it is needed. It also reflects the true light colour, no spectrum shift even after multiple reflections.
