高耸的尖塔、大窗户及色彩斑斓的灯光，这不是只属于哥特式教堂建筑的专有名字。在位于上海外滩 Haven 顶级奢华会所，你可以寻找到这样的元素，紧张的忙碌过后在这充满神秘、优雅的异国风情中放逐心灵。
该会所的业主期望采用哥特式风格的建筑设计，用于举办活动或私密性派对。
基于此，设计师将哥特式的风格与特点贯穿始终，结合奢华与古典，配以五彩缤纷的颜色，借助光的延伸、反射以及直射效果来营造俱乐部神秘的空间氛围。室内采用了一些高度放射效果的装饰材料提升空间质感，带给人们惬意的感受。
突破传统的设计 - 教堂元素
来自 Dariel 设计事务所的设计师们突破人们对传统哥特式风格血腥、黑暗、恐怖的心理阴影，借用哥特中经常出现的教堂元素来作为整个设计的主题。通过古老的哥特式风格与教堂元素的结合，并借助强烈的色彩对比，充分迎合了近几年复古潮流的趋势。负责该项目的建筑 (室内设计) 大师 Thomas Dariel（来自 Dariel 设计事务所）在该项目中引入西方独特的建筑风格以及优质原材料，营造梦幻环境氛围的同时更彰显出了夜的“鬼魅”，穿过外观并不引人注目的建筑，带领人们来到另一个世界，感受优雅与奢华。精致的陈列、特意调暗的背景光线，使来客在品酒的同时可尽情享受欧陆风情，完全回归真实的自己。巧妙的空间安排在一定程度上更是缓解了人们的紧张情绪，让人沉醉其中。
巧妙的灯光处理 - 彩色心情
根据不同区域对照明的需求，设计师在不同的地方安装了与之匹配的射灯以及舞台灯等以呈现不同的视觉效果，同时带个人不同的心理感受。比如在进入夜店的等候区安装设计师定制的灯具，营造一种类似烛光的灯光效果，巨型蜡烛的造型也契合了哥特式的教堂元素。接待区的灯光设计更是别具匠心，黑色的接待台给来客一种神秘的视觉效果，顶部的黄色灯带在装饰顶部空间的同时更提供指引道路的作用，另外还有酒吧处主空间就采用舞台灯以满足夜店的需要，想要营造一种幽暗神秘的感觉。为传达不同的情绪和感受，设计师还特意在夜店中添加了不同色彩的设计，并利用色彩来区分不同的功能区域，在重点照明区域安装简洁可调换的 LED 灯具，借助灯具的线条勾勒出建筑的基本轮廓并着重呈现渐变效果。
为契合教堂的哥特式主题，设计师在装饰以及结构设计上尽量凸显这一特征。考虑到典型的教堂尖顶屋顶，设计师在做等候区天花板时，用教堂的人物绘画来装饰顶部空间，型似巨大蜡烛的吊灯更加深了深处教堂的氛围，加上门口接待处的黑色接待台，看似普通的设计，待仔细看实际是人脸的曲线，此外，前方特意设计的红色楼梯给人一种通往地狱的感觉。
设计中面临的挑战
针对改造项目，其照明与结构的设计更面临较大的挑战。为了彻底改变以往压抑的视觉效果，设计师不得不重新对建筑的结构与灯光设计做出调整，重塑这个原有4层结构的老厂房，包括楼层的加固。
Towering minarets, big window and colorful lights… all of these factors not only belong to Gothic church architecture–such elements are also found in Haven luxury clubhouse located in the Bund of Shanghai. One feels relaxed completely in this exotic world full of mystery and elegance after doing a long busy day.
The Gothic architecture design is appeared to the expectation of the client with the aim at holding activities or private parties. Therefore, the designer blends the Gothic style and characteristics into the whole design, combines both luxury and classic (elements) factors; and matches with different colours, a mysterious space atmosphere of the club is created with the extension, reflection and direct lighting effect of light. In the house, some decorative materials with highly radioactive effect are used to improve the texture of space, and bringing people a sense of comfort.
Breaking through the traditional design – Church elements
Breaking through people’s psychological shadow over the traditional bloody, dark and horrible Gothic style, designers from Dariel Studio take church elements that often appear in Gothic architecture as the theme of the whole design. Through the integration of the old Gothic style and church elements, and with the help of strong colour contrast, the building closely follows the retro trend in recent years. Thomas Dariel (comes from Dariel Studio), the architecture (interior design) master in charges of the project, introduces unique western architecture style and quality raw materials in the project to create a dreamy ambience while highlighting the “ghostly charm” of night; walking through the building which has a inconspicuous appearance, people would be led into another world to feel the elegance and luxury. Among exquisite furnishings and under the deliberately dim background light, guests will enjoy the European style environment freely while tasting wine, returning back to their true selves. What’s more, the clever spatial arrangement relieves the tension of people to a certain degree, making them lost in it.
Ingenious lighting design – colourful mood
Depending on the needs for lighting of different regions, designers installed corresponding spotlights and stage lights at the specific location so as to show different visual effects, and bring people with different psychological feelings at the same time. For example, in waiting area of the nightclub, customized fixtures which made by designers are installed to create a kind of candle-like lighting effect, and the shape of huge candle also fits the elements of Gothic churches. Lighting design of reception area is more unique: the black reception desk shows visitors a mysterious visual effect, and the yellow light band at top not only decorates the headspace, but also acts as a guide; besides, stage lights are adopted to meet nightclub’ demand of creating a dark and mysterious feeling. In order to deliver different moods and feelings, designers particularly add various color designs for the nightclub. They use colors to distinguish different functional areas, install simple and replaceable LED lights in key lighting areas, and sketch out the basic outline of building with lines of lamps and focus on the displaying gradient effect.
To fit the Gothic theme of church, designers try highlighting this feature on decorations and structural design. Taking into account the typical steeple roof of church, designers use character painting to decorate the headspace of church while making the ceiling of waiting area; pendent lamps look like huge candles deepen the atmosphere of deep church; design of the black reception desk at gate seems ordinary, but it is the curve line of human face actually; in addition, the specially designed red stairs in the front give people a sense of road to hell.
Challenges
Lighting design and structure of the renovation project faces greater challenges. In order to completely change the previous repressed visual effects, designers re-adjusted the structure of building and lighting design so as to remodel this old plant originally with four-layer structure, including reinforcement of floors.
